MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings, also fondly called CSK, was formally launched in 2008 as an Indian-based cricket team. The auction of players kicked off later that same year, and that was when the team acquired Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was the most expensive player the team had at the time. Dhoni was then appointed as the team’s coach, and that hasn’t changed in the last 12 years.

Is MS Dhoni still good enough to bat?

A batting powerhouse, MS Dhoni possesses the ability to destroy different bowling attacks on his own. The calmness and composure in his demeanor along with a sharp cricketing brain accounts for a lethal combination on the cricketing field and the glistening silverware in the trophy cabinets at CSK are a testimony to his extraordinary leadership skills.
He was the face of Chennai Super Kings for the first eight editions of the league, leading them to two titles (2010 & 2011) and four runner-up finishes. He then became the first player to be drafted by Rising Pune Supergiant in the ninth edition of the league. And, he once again became the first player to be retained by CSK ahead of the IPL Player Auction 2018. The 2018 season of the league had a fairytale ending with another glistening silverware added to the trophy cabinet of the Chennai Super Kings.
The 2019 edition of the league too saw the CSK reach the finals of the tournament under MS Dhoni’s leadership.

In the 2020 and 2021 edition of the league his approach clear shows us he wants to play an anchor role and give his responsibilities to others in the team as he is closing to retire in next 2 years anytime soon....

One can never writeoff MS Dhoni, he is known for a comeback and he is still decent with bat and always the power horse of the team(CSK), the ability to launch and shifts the gears and play according to the situation of the game is his greatest strength and he did over the years successfully and still, he has the ability to finish the game for CSK.
